As a performer, Margot Kelley Rodriguez has appeared in numerous productions in San Diego and the Bay Area. Most recent
credits include Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream (UC Berkeley, CTA), Kenny/Ben in
Mineola Twins, Mary in Why We Have a Body, and Frankie in Julie
Johnson (Diversionary Theatre).
A graduate of UC Berkeley, Rodriguez had the honor of serving as a student teacher poet in June Jordan's internationally
acclaimed Poetry for the People Program. Her work has appeared in numerous queer rags,
magazines, and anthologies, including Revolutionary Voices: a multicultural queer
youth anthology (Alyson Books, NY, 2000). Rodriguez currently
writes "Kings Comments" for The Lavender.
"Drag Kinging is a natural extension of all that drives me-weaving
together the creative/the political/the outrageous in order shakes things up,
and break apart gender preconceptions."
